DyoCore began development to resolve deficiencies typically encountered by existing wind & solar solutions for the retail market. The following were identified as primary obstacles:

• Current residential specific products in the market reflect old inefficient technology and often are cost prohibitive
• Limited Minimal / Maximum Operational Wind Speed restricts geographic locations where turbine or windmill is efficient
• Wind Speed / Solar into Electrical Power conversion is mostly based on old inefficient technology
• Requirement of high velocity wind speeds or long periods of sun to generate power resulting in a high cost of energy
• Large space and energy capturing devices required
• Expensive installation requiring licensed contractor
• Cost and downtime due to Maintenance of complex equipment
• Noise from generator blades and space/clearance issues
• Return on Investment takes approximately 15 years
• Potential Impact on wildlife and surrounding environment by blade driven generators

High-efficiency low profile residential wind turbines will win out over traditional windmill designs in all new installations. Existing wind generators are impractical in many areas because the available power grows as the cube of the average wind speed increases – these turbines are built very large, require large open areas, and require placement 30 plus feet above the surface where larger wind speeds can be leveraged to produce a consistent level of generated energy. In this model turbines work well for industrial or resale but are not a solution for the residential market.
